The role of the Watchtower society is to disseminate bible Truths in various languages.  Opposers and Apostates challenge us that we don't teach the truth.  Russell believed that Christ's presence began in 1874 but that was corrected in 1929.  The truth itself has not changed; only our understanding.  The faithful slave class is like a prophet, although not inspired.  If it were, the literature would be the same as the Bible.  We might err in interpretation of prophecy or application, but God's Word said it would be a gradual process. 

At John 16.12 Jesus said "I have many things yet to tell you, but you are unable to bear them at present". So our understanding progresses gradually.  For example, the number of 144,000 was not revealed until 96 CE. 

Jesus trusts the faithful slave so much that he appoints him over all his belongings, which has to do with giving out spiritual food. The prophecies do not fail, the will come true.  We want to trust in the faithful and discreet slave, and we want to appreciate what we already understand correctly. 

Daniel 12.4 says that in the end, true knowledge will become abundant.  Therefore don't be surprised if the slave publishes slight adjustments.
