[God] delivered us from the authority of the
darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of his love [Jesus],
by means of whom we have our deliverance [release by ransom]
the forgiveness of sins.
[Jesus] is [the] image of the invisible God,
the firstborn of all/every creation; because [by means of/in] [God]
everything in the heavens and upon the earth was created, the visible and
the invisible, whether thrones or lordships or governments or authorities.
Everything has been created through [God] and for
[God]. Also, [God] is before all things and in [God] all things
[have stayed together/ have their proper place/ subsist].
[Jesus] is the head of the body, the congregation.
[Jesus] is the beginning, the firstborn from the
dead, that [Jesus] might become first in all things; because all fullness
delights dwelling in [Jesus] and through [Jesus] - in order to reconcile everything
(whether they are the things upon the earth or in the heavens) to himself
by making peace through the blood on the torture stake.
